Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran will stop attacking neighbouring states following recent missile and drone strikes across the Middle East.

🌍 What we know so far:

• Iran says it has no intention of targeting neighbouring countries

• The president issued an apology to Gulf states affected by recent strikes

• Iran says attacks would only occur if those countries launch attacks on Iran or allow attacks from their territory

• The statement comes after Iranian missiles and drones hit or were intercepted in several Gulf countries during the ongoing war

The announcement may signal an attempt to reduce regional escalation as the conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States continues.
